Privacy
Short version: grab. doesn't want your data and doesn't keep it.
What gets sent to the server
When you grab a profile, the username or link you typed goes to a lookup endpoint so it can fetch that profile's public avatar or banner. That request isn't logged or tied to you. Successful lookups are cached for a short while so repeat grabs are fast, but the cache only holds the public image URL, nothing about who asked for it.
No accounts, no tracking
There's no sign-up, no analytics script, no ad network, and no cookies beyond a single browser setting that remembers whether you picked light or dark mode. That setting lives in your browser and never leaves it.
The images
Downloads are proxied so the file lands with a sensible name. The image passes through the server and isn't stored. grab. only fetches images that are already public on the platform you point it at.
